Our lab participated in this year’s Darwin Day event at Texas A&M, held at The Gardens. The event highlights biology for the public and emphasizes the importance of science outreach.
We showcased our research on avian genetics and mosquito biology through hands-on demonstrations and interactive displays. Visitors engaged with activities ranging from quizzes, avian displays, and learning about our research.
Darwin Day provides an important opportunity to share science directly with the community, from young students to adults curious about how genetics impacts agriculture and health. For our students, it also develops communication skills essential for explaining complex research clearly.
