On December 17, 2025, we were thrilled to celebrate a major milestone for two members of our group: Dr. Mridula Gupta (Ph.D.)and Kolton Witherspoon (M.S.). Their accomplishments at the close of this degree cycle reflect years of hard work and curiosity in our lab at Texas A&M University.
Mridula has successfully completed her Ph.D., marking the transition from graduate researcher to independent scientist. In 2026, she will begin a postdoctoral position, continuing to build on the strong scientific foundation she developed here and seeking new frontiers.
Kolton has completed his M.S. degree and will remain in the lab as he transitions into the Ph.D. program. By continuing this work on broiler breeder fertility, Kolton will deepen our understanding of the factors that shape fertility outcomes and help develop practical strategies to support breeders and producers.
As a lab, we are proud of these formal milestones, as well as the teamwork and growth that Mridula and Kolton have demonstrated along the way. Congratulations to both on these well-earned achievements.
