Dr. Luc Berghman: A Friend, Mentor, and Esteemed Scientist

Dr. Luc Berghman has been more than just a colleague; he has been a friend and mentor to many, including myself. His contributions to science are widely recognized, but it’s his kindness, mentorship, and genuine passion for his work that has left an indelible mark on those who have had the fortune to work alongside him.

Dr. Berghman’s outstanding achievements in the field, coupled with his warm personality, have made working with him a privilege. His love for coffee roasting and the friendly banter it inspired became a beloved part of our interactions. These moments of shared enthusiasm for our work and hobbies have created memories that will be dearly missed.

Looking Ahead

As we bid farewell to Drs. Berghman and Carey, their daily presence will be greatly missed, and their legacies will continue to influence our department and the scientific field for years to come.

We wish Drs. Berghman and Carey, all the best in their retirement, filled with happiness, relaxation, and excellent coffee. Their contributions to our department and the lives they’ve touched will always be remembered and cherished.
